Mexican night

Get your charro outfit ready for the Mexican night in Bosque de Aragón. It will be free admission!

Prepare the green, white, and red face paints! This weekend, a Mexican night will arrive at Bosque de Aragón. We’ll tell you all about this picnic and also recommend foods and drinks you can bring to the very patriotic celebration.

The festivities for Mexico’s Independence Day are just around the corner, and Mexico City will offer a wide variety of options to shout “Viva México” and sing rancheras. On the upcoming Saturday, September 9th, Bosque de Aragón will light up with the magic of Mexican traditions, music, and typical flavors – yes, we’re talking about snacks and spicy food.

Here’s how the Mexican night at Bosque de Aragón will unfold:

The event will be a picnic under the stars where you can bring your favorite food to share. Activities will start at 5 pm and end four hours later. The meeting point will be at the palapa of the spa, at entrance number 2. If you plan to arrive by car, please note that there will be parking, but it won’t be free.

In addition to the picnic area, the event will be full of surprises. At 6 pm, the Chamber Orchestra will set the mood with their music, followed by a folk dance performance at 7 pm by the Macehuani Folk Dance Group.

We recommend three simple recipes to bring to the picnic:

– Chipotle chicken tacos with sour cream, grated cheese, and tomato sauce.

– Fresh guacamole for dipping with tortilla chips.

– Esquites with sweet corn and grated Cotija cheese.

To accompany these dishes, three mocktails:

– Tamarindo Sunrise. You’ll need to mix tamarind water, orange juice, grenadine syrup, and ice. Don’t forget the cherries for decoration.

– Tamarind and chili soda. It consists of tamarind concentrate, mineral water, lemon, chili powder, ice, and lemon slices.
